Why do I need shower seals?
For a dry bathroom and to help prevent slippery floors, Bagnoxx offers a wide range of high-quality shower seals.
Modern, functional shower seals keep the water inside the shower and provide reliable protection against splashes. This reduces the risk of injury caused by wet floors and helps you step out of the shower safely.
Shower sealing profiles also save you time and effort, as you no longer need to keep wiping up water from the floor.
In the long term, properly working shower seals not only prevent annoying water marks, but also help avoid water damage, which can be costly to repair.
Thanks to their precise fit, the sealing profiles provide excellent splash protection.
Choose from a wide range of shower enclosure seals in different sizes, designs and shapes to find the right seal for your shower.
What material are shower seals made from?
Our shower seals are made from high-quality PVC, giving the products good shape stability, durability and UV resistance.
With their transparent colour and simple design, the shower seals blend in well with almost any bathroom.
What makes a high-quality shower seal?
In addition to their water-repellent properties, shower seals dry quickly and are easy to care for, making them a useful and practical upgrade for your shower.
Available in different versions for all standard glass doors and glass panels with a thickness of 6–8 mm (approx. 0.24–0.31 in), the shower sealing profiles fit extremely well and can be cut to size as required with little effort. This makes installation simple, quick and straightforward.
Which types of shower seals are available?
While straight, rigid shower sealing profiles are ideal for square and rectangular shower enclosures, pre-curved, half-round or round shower seals are the perfect choice for quadrant and curved showers.
In our online DIY store you will find shower seals for different glass thicknesses (6 and 8 mm (approx. 0.24 and 0.31 in)), shower sealing profiles and bottom seals. There are also shower seals with magnets, which are designed especially for use on shower doors.
Magnetic seals, strip seals or stop seals are used in the vertical areas of shower enclosures, while water-deflecting profiles and sealing profiles fixed to the floor protect the horizontal areas against escaping water.
Our range also includes shower seal sets containing pairs of shower seals for double doors.
How do I fit shower seals?
Before installation, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the glass around the edge so that the surface is dry and free from grease and dirt.
When cutting the shower sealing profiles to size, make sure no sharp profile corners are left to avoid injuries.
It is best to fit the sealing profiles at room temperature, as PVC becomes less flexible in cold conditions.
How do I cut shower seals?
A simple and clean way to cut shower seals is to use a mitre cutter (mitre shears). As well as producing a smooth cut, you can also cut the correct angle if you need to fit shower seals at something other than a right angle.
A fine-tooth hacksaw and a utility knife are more flexible options for adjusting shower seals. Use the hacksaw to cut the hard, rigid profile, and use the utility knife to trim the sealing lip(s) to length. You can also use the utility knife to remove any plastic shavings left over from sawing.
How do I clean shower sealing profiles in the shower?
Shower sealing profiles are subject to a natural ageing process, which may occur sooner or later depending on how they are cared for. The duration and intensity of UV exposure, the frequency of cleaning and local conditions also play a role.
Ideally, wipe shower seals with warm water and a soft cloth only. We recommend avoiding harsh, chlorine-based or alkaline cleaners, abrasives and solvents.
