Why do I need shower seals?
To keep your bathroom dry and to avoid slippery floors, you can choose from a range of high-quality shower seals from the branded manufacturer Bagnoxx.
Modern and functional shower seals keep water inside the shower and provide reliable protection against splashes. This reduces the risk of accidents on wet floors and lets you leave the shower safely.
Thanks to shower sealing profiles you also save time and effort because you no longer have to keep mopping up wet floors.
In the long run, properly functioning shower seals prevent not only unsightly water marks but also water damage, the repair of which can be costly.
Because of their good fit, the sealing profiles provide excellent splash protection.
From a varied range you can choose shower door seals in different sizes, models and shapes to find the right seal for your shower.
What are shower seals made of?
Our shower seals are made of high-quality PVC, giving the products good shape stability, durability and UV resistance.
With their transparent colour and simple design, the shower seals blend well into almost any bathroom.
What characterises a high-quality shower seal?
Besides their water-repellent properties, the shower seals dry quickly and are easy to care for, making them a useful and practical addition to your shower.
Available in different variants for all standard glass doors and panels with thicknesses of six to eight millimetres, the sealing profiles fit very well and can be shortened individually without much effort. This makes installation simple, fast and uncomplicated.
What types of shower seals are there?
While straight, dimensionally stable sealing profiles are ideal for square and rectangular shower cubicles, pre-curved, semi-circular or round seals are the perfect choice for round showers.
In our online DIY store you will find shower seals for different glass thicknesses (6 mm and 8 mm), sealing profiles as well as bottom seals. There are also some shower seals with magnets, which are especially intended for use on shower doors.
Magnetic seals, strip seals or strike seals are used in the vertical areas of shower enclosures, whereas water-repellent profiles and floor-mounted sealing strips protect the horizontal areas from escaping water.
The product range also includes shower seal kits that contain pairs of seals for double doors.
How do I install shower seals?
Before installation it is recommended to thoroughly clean the glass along the glass edge so that the surface is dry and free of grease and dirt.
When cutting sealing profiles, make sure that no sharp profile corners are created to avoid injuries.
It is best to fit the sealing profiles at room temperature, because PVC loses flexibility when cold.
In our installation guide on YouTube you can see how easy it is to install shower seals:
How do I cut shower seals?
A simple and clean solution for cutting shower seals is a mitre clamp or mitre shears. Besides a smooth cut you can also cut the correct angle if you need to adjust seals at angles other than 90°.
More flexible options are a fine hacksaw and a utility knife for trimming the seals. While the hacksaw works the harder, rigid profile, the utility knife lets you trim the sealing lip(s) precisely. You can also use the utility knife to remove plastic burrs left by the hacksaw.
How do I keep shower sealing profiles clean?
Sealing profiles are subject to a natural ageing process that can occur sooner or later depending on care. The duration and intensity of UV exposure, the frequency of cleaning and local conditions also play a role.
Ideally, wipe shower seals with warm water and a soft cloth. Avoid using harsh, chlorine-containing or alkaline cleaners, abrasives or solvents.
