Tile edge trims for a clean tile finish
When laying tiles, creating neat transitions and edges can often be tricky. With the modern, practical tile trims from our range, tiling becomes much easier.
What are tile edge trims?
Tile edge trims are primarily used as edge protection. Even though tiles are generally more robust than many other wall and floor coverings, they can crack or chip – especially at edges and corners. Tile profiles frame tiled floors, tiled walls or a tiled splashback and help protect the edges from damage.
Another key aspect is appearance. Particularly where different wall or floor coverings meet, tile profiles create clean, harmonious transitions. They also improve safety where there are different floor heights by reducing trip hazards.
Which tile trims are available?
In our online shop you’ll find tile trims from the brand manufacturer Dalsys made from stainless steel or aluminium. Stainless-steel tile profiles are especially popular because they are dimensionally stable, rust-free, durable and corrosion-resistant. Aluminium profiles, on the other hand, are easier to cut to size and generally simpler to work with.
Our shop offers a wide range of high-quality tile trims in many versions, such as angle, quarter-round or square profiles. They are also available with different surface finishes and in various colours.
Why are tile edge trims used?
Whether in the bathroom, kitchen or on the patio – tile profiles enhance the look of your living and working areas and help your floors last longer.
The tile edge finish also gets extra protection, helping to prevent cracks and chipping over the long term. This way you achieve a perfect-looking transition and avoid time-consuming repairs later on.
Is there a difference between tile trims and tile profiles?
Online you’ll often see the term “tile profiles” alongside “tile trims”. In practice, they mean the same thing.
How are tile trims installed?
It’s important to match the height of the trim to the tiled floor or tiled wall. As a rule, the trim should be 1–2 mm (approx. 0.04–0.08 in) higher than your chosen tiles, because the adhesive layer must be taken into account during installation. Thanks to the practical perforated design, tile adhesive can pass through the profile, creating better bonding and greater stability.
What accessories are available for tile trims?
You can also find matching accessories in our shop, such as corner pieces for square profiles and internal and external corners for quarter-round profiles. Of course, these are also available in different colours and materials.
