What Are Wall Niches?

Wall niches are recesses or cavities built into a wall. They can be both functional and decorative. Typically, wall niches are used to create storage space or to showcase and store items such as vases, artworks, or books. They are often found in bathrooms, hallways, or living rooms.

What Materials Are "Wall Niches" Made Of?

Wall niches can be made from a variety of materials, depending on their function and desired appearance. In our range, you will find wall niches made from polystyrene and stainless steel.

What Defines a High-Quality "Wall Niche"?

A high-quality wall niche is characterized by several features, including precise processing that prevents protruding frames. The material is crucial, as it ensures high stability when integrated into the wall and prevents cracks or deformations. Our selection includes wall niches made of stainless steel and polystyrene.

How Is a "Wall Niche" Installed?

Wall niches can be installed in drywall or masonry. They are suitable for both new constructions and renovations. It’s important to consider that the niche will lose some surface area when tiled, which is especially noticeable in the height of the niche if you choose a narrow wall niche.

  1. Mark the desired position for the wall niche
  2. Reinforce the cut edges with profiles
  3. Apply adhesive to the edge of the wall niche element
  4. Insert the wall niche and check for horizontal alignment with a spirit level
  5. Seal the surrounding joints with adhesive
  6. Apply overlapping mesh tape to the wall and niche element to bridge cracks
  7. Tile the wall

Installation should ideally be carried out by a professional, especially for complex or large niches, to avoid wall damage and improper installation.
