What is a heat conducting plate?
For an efficient underfloor heating system, you need high-quality heat conducting plates. They absorb the heat from the heating pipes and transfer it to the floor covering. This way, underfloor heating provides an ideal room temperature, high walking comfort and cosy warmth.
Are heat conducting plates necessary?
To get the best performance from an underfloor heating system, heat conducting plates are essential. Without them, the heat would not be distributed evenly across the floor area, and the temperature directly at the heating pipes would be too high, creating a risk of burns.
What material is a heat conducting plate made of?
The heat conducting plates in our range are made from robust, galvanised sheet steel and offer high dimensional stability, impact resistance and corrosion resistance. In addition, the galvanised steel helps transfer heat into the room more effectively.
How is a heat conducting plate installed?
The first step is to lay the grooved panels. Then the heat conducting plates are laid across the entire surface and the 14 mm heating pipe is pressed into the plate. Finally, a PE cover film, for example with a thickness of 0.2 mm, can be laid on top.
The pre-defined break points allow flexible cutting, for example when a smaller area needs to be covered. If required, the relevant plates can be replaced at the break points without having to re-lay everything.
