Practical and decorative tile trims
When laying tiles, creating neat transitions and edges can often be tricky. With the modern, practical tile trims in our range, tiling becomes much easier.
What are tile trims?
Tile trims are primarily used for edge protection. Even though tiles are generally more robust than many other wall and floor coverings, they can still crack or chip – especially on edges and corners. Tile profiles frame the tiled floor, a tiled wall or a tiled splashback and help protect the edges from damage.
Another key aspect is appearance. Particularly where different wall or floor coverings meet, tile profiles create clean, harmonious transitions. They also improve safety where there are different floor heights by reducing trip hazards.
Which tile trims are available?
In our online shop you’ll find tile trims from the brand manufacturer Dalsys made from stainless steel or aluminium. Stainless steel tile profiles are especially popular because they keep their shape, are rust-free, durable and corrosion-resistant. Aluminium profiles, on the other hand, are easier to cut to size and generally simpler to work with.
Our shop offers a wide range of high-quality tile trims in many designs, such as angle, quarter-round or square profiles. They’re also available with different surface finishes and in various colours.
Why are tile trims used?
Whether in the bathroom, kitchen or on the patio – tile profiles enhance both living and working areas visually and help your floors last longer.
The tile edge finish also gets extra protection, helping to prevent cracks and chipping in the long term. This way you not only achieve a perfect-looking transition, but also avoid time-consuming repairs later on.
Is there a difference between tile trims and tile profiles?
Online, you’ll often see the term “tile profiles” as well as “tile trims”. In practice, they mean the same thing.
How are tile trims installed?
It’s important to choose the correct height of the tile trim for your tiled floor or wall. As a rule, the trim should be 1–2 mm (approx. 0.04–0.08 in) higher than your selected tiles, as the adhesive layer must be taken into account during installation. Thanks to the practical perforation pattern, the tile adhesive can key through the profile, providing better bonding and more stability.
What accessories are available for tile trims?
You can also find matching accessories in our shop, such as corner pieces for square profiles and internal and external corners for quarter-round profiles. Of course, these are also available in different colours and materials.
