Zinc gutters for reliable roof drainage
For dependable and safe roof drainage, Zambelli zinc gutters are the ideal solution. They are suitable for various types of buildings with large roof areas, such as residential homes. A galvanised gutter is hard-wearing and ensures rainwater runs off freely and in a controlled way.
What’s more, installing Zambelli Meister systems is exceptionally easy and flexible thanks to the smart push-fit system. At BMSC24 you’ll find a wide selection of high-quality zinc gutters as well as matching, practical accessories. All our gutters offer excellent material and manufacturing quality.
Zinc gutters can be used in many different ways and tailored to your needs. In our shop you’ll also find pre-configured roof drainage systems for roofs on houses, garages, carports or garden sheds.
The Zambelli Meister system
Whether it’s the gutter, downpipe or accessories: in the Zambelli Meister system, all roof drainage components are made from the same base material—galvanised sheet steel. This guarantees a completely uniform surface finish for a clean, consistent look.
Only Zambelli’s leaf guard products are made from durable, robust aluminium.
What are zinc gutters used for?
A zinc rain gutter primarily helps prevent damage to your home and improves safety for residents and passers-by. Without a gutter, water running off the roof can damage the façade and create a slip hazard if it drains uncontrolled down the entire side of the building.
Garden owners benefit too: with rainwater collectors, the water can be captured in cisterns or water butts for reuse.
If you have sufficient roof overhang, you can also drain rainwater via a so-called spout (scupper) or via an eaves drip edge / drainage channel.
In addition to our galvanised gutters, our online shop offers a wide range of products for leaf protection and roof protection. We also stock roof-cleaning care products that help keep both your roof and your roof drainage system in like-new condition for the long term.
What sizes are available for zinc gutters?
Our zinc gutters are available in nominal sizes 250, 280 and 333. This makes it quick and easy to find a half-round gutter for your project that matches your roof in both size and shape.
Today, the nominal size is the more common size designation. The terms NW or RG are also widely used.
The older “6-part”, “7-part” or “8-part” designation is outdated and has nothing to do with the number of gutter parts. It refers back to the sheet sizes used to manufacture the gutters. A sheet was standardised at 2 m (approx. 6.6 ft) wide, so one sheet could, for example, be divided into 8 × 250 (alternatively also called 25). Following the same example, 333 gutters were divided into six parts and 280 gutters into seven parts.
In our shop you’ll find Zambelli gutter sets in the following dimensions:
- Nominal size 250 / RG 100 / 8-part
- Nominal size 280 / RG 125 / 7-part
- Nominal size 333 / RG 150 / 6-part
The size of a zinc gutter, as well as the number and diameter of downpipes, depends on the associated roof area and the intensity of typical (thunderstorm) rainfall in your region.
To dimension your gutter correctly, the roof area is an essential factor. However, the installation fall, gutter angles and any accessories used—such as leaf guard grilles or leaf baskets—must also be taken into account in the calculations.
Depending on the length of the gutters, you’ll need to plan for temperature-related expansion compensation.
What are the advantages of zinc gutters?
A zinc gutter offers many advantages. In addition to high strength, it is protected against corrosion and therefore guarantees a very long service life—typically several decades.
In addition, a Zambelli zinc gutter is extremely stable. Even strong winds and high snow loads usually won’t affect it. The lower linear expansion compared with many common gutter materials is another benefit.
Galvanised steel is ideal for gutters and has the following characteristics:
- maximum strength
- long-lasting corrosion protection
- resistant to high wind and snow loads
- lower linear expansion compared with copper and similar materials
How do I install my zinc gutter?
Zambelli galvanised gutters can be installed without soldering. The push-fit system ensures simple, fast and secure installation.
How long does a zinc gutter last?
In practice, a zinc gutter lasts for several decades. Zambelli therefore provides a 15-year guarantee on its roof drainage systems.
How much does a galvanised gutter cost?
For installing zinc gutters, we’ve put together practical sets in our online shop that make ordering and planning much easier. Our sets include all individual parts required for installation and therefore offer savings compared with buying items separately.
Depending on the application—for example, on an apartment building—additional costs for scaffolding and tradespeople may apply.
Can a zinc gutter rust?
Zambelli zinc gutters are available in different colour variants and, thanks to the zinc-magnesium finish, are highly resistant to weathering and offer excellent corrosion protection.
The colour-coated Zambelli zinc gutters, in particular, offer further advantages. The “Robust” colour layer provides additional protection and creates a smoother surface. Last but not least, the various colour options also enhance the roof visually.
